We Are Fieldston Therapists
Our goal is to guide our clients through self-exploration, self-awareness and resilience building that transforms them into self-reliant individuals. We integrate psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior (DBT), relational, and mindfulness-based techniques tailored to client’s specific needs. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership explored within a safe, non-judgmental environment, working at a pace that is comfortable for the client; we can explore short or long-term counseling. Together, we can work towards resolving feelings of sadness, anxiety, and understand maladaptive patterns. Most importantly, we will gain insight into how to change problematic behaviors.

A Bronx native, Alexandra began dancing at the age of 9 and feels fortunate to have discovered her true passion early in life. She is an alumna of the famed Performing Arts HS and was awarded a full scholarship to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. Alexandra has performed with various modern dance companies in NYC for over 30 years and, upon discovering the power of Pilates, began practicing it daily to strengthen her body and refine existing weaknesses. Alexandra credits this core conscious exercise with extending the life of her dance career and contributing greatly to her postural health.
Alexandra incorporated her passion for practicing Pilates into her career in 2003, when she received her 600-hour teacher certification at Power Pilates in NY under the tutelage of classical master teacher, Bob Liekens. A lifelong learner herself, Alexandra continues her studies with an ever-evolving list of distinguished teachers in the field of mind/body fitness. Alexandra uses her own curiosity as a mind/body student to directly connect with each client and uniquely shape his / her Pilates journey.
Alexandra is currently teaching private Pilates sessions via Zoom.
